it almost a week after the down syndrome test at ADC and still no news of the results.. was trying to tell myself no news means good news.. but tis morning the nurse at ADC called and ask mi go back for another scan ard 11am+. i asked y and she said my blood test result was not good and it has pulled down my risk ratio to 1:400+ oni. the nurse said they have to scan bb's heart to recalculate the risk ratio again.
i was basically freaking out coz i paid for my bfast at BK and left without taking the food. oni realised when i was a few steps out fm BK and went back to collect the food. called my sis n she consoled mi, told mi to stay positive. if i feel stress, bb will be stressed too. couldn't help but cried when i reached office, took some time to cool down.
sms my GM who was in Seoul for holiday to take urgent time off and he too wished mi all the best. went off fm work at 10.30am and reach KKH around 11am. told to take my weight again, back to 75kg+ and take the urine test for glucose, all clear. very soon the nurse brought mi to the waiting area which i was at for the scan last week. waited around 15mins before the nurse called mi.
the scan was done by a sonographer tis time... saw bb's heartbeat again but compared to last wk, bb was not active today. seems like sucking thumb n sleeping. i hope bb is not scared by mi. the sonographer was pressing really hard to my tummy a few times n it seemed like bb was protesting coz i can see bb's hand moving up. tis time the scan was focus on bb's heart, so nv see much of other side of bb. the sonographer told mi to hold my breathe as she wanted to hear bb's heartbeat. heard it loud n clear n it was fast.
after the scan was completed, the sonographer told mi not to worry as the recalculated risk has been adjusted to 1:3900+ so low risk for down syndrome. again we saw bb nasal bone present.
*phew* really took a huge stone off my shoulder..
as a reward, my sis bought bb a bb tigger plush toy for been so guai.
can't wait to see bb on 14Jan!!!! hope bb stay healthy!!
