am 12wk 2d now and going for my 3rd gynea appt with Dr. Choey. took time off fm work at 5.30pm though my appt oni at 6.40pm. reached KKH at 6.15pm and went for my dinner at Delifrance, cost mi $10+.. comparing to a few years back, the same meal will oni cost $7+. tis will be my last time at Delifrance, too expensive liao.
went into TPS at 6.40pm sharp and waited for my sis, the man said he couldn't make it. the nurse at the reception asked if i had filled in some forms prior on my last appt. huh, wat forms???!! seems like there are some forms which i had to sign for bb, like the BCG jab to be taken when bb is born, etc.
aft signing the forms, i was told to go to the routine room at the end of TPS to take my weight, blood pressure, urine test and some blood test. i tink the urine test is for my glucose level, cleared tis n the blood pressure was normal. my weight had increased abt 3kg!!! the blood test was for HIV, Hepetits B and Thalassemia.. i skipped the one for Thalassemia coz both hubby n i had done the test before.
while i was in the routine room, the man called and said he's coming after all. woohoo, got ahmad tonite!! he arrived shortly, still we wait abt 30mins before seeing Dr. Choey at Rm 5.
Dr. Choey asked how i was feeling, told him i'm ok but super anxious coz having the scan later. he told mi not to worry n off we went to the other corner of the room for scanning. am really glad hubby is around as tis is the first time he is seeing bb. Dr. Choey pointed out bb's heartbeat and i was like "where, where?". he laughed n said never mind, there's the bb moving. ok, tis i saw. finally a stone off my shoulder.
later on he asked if we want to take the down syndrome test for bb, of coz take la.. i'm super anxious for bb one. asked when is the latest date i haf to go for the test n he said by end Dec, so not too bad coz pay day liao. the test cost $300+ lor. he said the nurse will arrange the test date and call me.
was prescribe with the usual medicine duphaston and aspirin but tis time have obimin also coz my prenatel vitamin samples are finishing. next appt in 5wks time coz Dr. Choey is going overseas again. long long wait!!
my sis said my expression before n after seeing the gynea was totally different. hahaha.. i love bb!!! the bill for consultation, routine blood test n scan was $200 liao.. medicine another $100+. till date tis is the most expensive bill but as long as bb is fine, we are willing to spend the $.
