19jun 11pm: still chatting with Elise in FB on what VE is.

19jun 11.10pm: went to pee and felt something dropping down. turns out to be white discharge so i just ignored. was commenting to Elise in FB on whether this is a sign coz was having braxton hicks at the same time (turns out to be contractions).

19jun 11.15pm: was sitting on the loveseat in the study room when suddenly i felt as if i cannot control my urine though i went toilet oni mins ago, rushed to toilet and before i could sit on the toilet bowl, water just gushed down.. ended up my shorts, undies n toilet floor was wet. touched the wetness n found that no smell at all, guessed it was waterbag breaking as i was still leaking down under. quickly woke my hubby to prepare to send mi to hospital while i took a short 5mins bath.

19jun 11.35pm: out of the house n on the way to KKH.

19jun 11.50pm: reached KKH delivery suite and was checked in at 12 midnite.

20jun 12.05am: all changed and lying on the bed in the delivery suite. contractions were far apart, atill can chat with hubby while the nurse strapped mi for CTG.

20jun 1.15am, gynea came and did VE, oni 3cm dilated and gynea said to go n drip to induce as waterbag already broken n mucus plug dislodged too. he estimated mi to give birth oni around 10am+ to 12pm+. told mi to rest.

20jun 2.45am: already started to have painful contractions but oni 8mins apart. nurse said tis is oni the beginning n i got long way to go. was already complaining abt the pain though still trying my best to endure.. hubby was getting abit fed up coz i kept saying i prob will ask for epidural though i agreed earlier on that i will endure through with epi.

20jun 3am: already in pain till i was moaning n almost crying. hubby finally relented n let mi ask for epi. i kept telling the nurse to hurry and asked when the anthestist (spelling error?) will come n administer the epi. she said might need to wait 30mins and gave me the form to read abt the side effects and sign the consent form. lucky the anthestist came within 10mins.

20jun 3.25am: epidural done and i was finally relived of the freaking contractions. was able to sleep also, hubby also catched his forty winks at the same time.

20jun 4.30am: nurse came n did VE, was already 8cm dilated n the CTG showed contractions are very frequent. i oni feel my tummy tightening. :-) she said i could prob start pushing in an hours time.

20jun 5.25am: nurse did another VE, almost 10cm dilated n she told mi to stert pushing so that bb's head start to descend into birth canal before she call for gynea. pushed a few times, makes mi damn tired but seems like not much result. gynea was called in n scolded the nurse for calling him so early when bb head still high up. said prob takes another hour before bb head will descend, so he went off. nurse told mi to rest again and call her went i got the urge to push (like want to shit).

20jun 6.00am-6.15am: was already telling hubby a few times dat i got the urge to push. waited uptil almost the hour given by gynea is up before we called the nurse in. tried to push a few times again, bb trying to descend but progress is slow. so was told to rest again.

20jun 6.50am: tried to push again.. really feel super tired. bb's heartbeat keeps on dropping every time i pushed.. got even 1 time dropped to 90+/min until the nurse simple said to stop pushing n let bb's heartbeat resumed to normal. the nurse nearly wanted to call gynea coz bb's heartbeat always dropped alot.

20jun 7.15am: the nurses had changed shift n the new nurse in charge keep telling mi to push when i got not much energy. then she keep saying "u must hold ur legs back n push, not push ur legs towards mi when i'm trying to help u". super angry lor, i'm in so much pain trying to push bb, how i koe i react. i was already asking y epi not working coz down under really pain lor.. ended up she said epi can numb contractions n leg, down under doesn't work. "it's not a 100% thing."

20jun 7.35am: gynea came in again.. saw the CTG report and said better to use forceps to assist the delivery coz bb is getting distressed. we quickly agreed n signed the consent form. preparations was done immediately n the stirrups was prepared so that i dun need to pull my legs on my own anymore.

20jun 7.45am: more nurses came in to help. gynea asked mi to pushed a feel times n inserted the forceps. i was already screaming like end of the world due to the pain while the nurses, gynea and hubby was all encouraging mi to push. i basically was crying in pain at the same time.

20jun 7.53am: bb Cherisse is finally out, Fathers' day pressie for hubby. my heart skipped a beat when i felt slipped out suddenly, i was so scared gynea n the nurses nv catch her in time n dropped her on the floor. she's a fiesty gal, was already crying loudly just hot fm the oven. i was crying too, but coz i was in pain. as i was holding to hubby's hand, he couldn't snap any pics until gynea was done with my stitches 20mins later.

both hubby and mi are on leave today.. hehehe.. it's great to be away from work isn't it?? actually i oni wanted to take time off for my gynea visit, but changed my mind to take whole day coz hubby dunno how beri clever make the vacumn hose "spoiled". need to send it down to the company to access whether it's manufacturing fault or our mishandling.

ended up hubby went there himself after sending BIL to work since it's super nearby. i got to sleep in with the lil one. :p aft hubby came back den we went hougang 805 for lunch, had the chicken rice when i dun find it fantastic anymore. shd have eaten something else lor.. den went hougang mall to walk walk before heading home to rest.

since hubby went to sleep, i played pc games before preparing to go for gynea visit. initial plan was for hubby to send me to KKH first, den he will go fetch BIL fm work.. but we left the house quite late ard 4.10pm.. almost reached carpark n hubby realised he left the car keys at home *blur*, i waited for him at the carpark while he walked back for the keys. due to his highness's sotong-ness, we had to fetch BIL fm work, send him to OCC before heading to KKH. heng not much jam, managed to reach KKH at 5.45pm.

though can go n register my appt first, we chose to Mac for a quick bite as i was super hungry liao and the lil one was protesting with her little kungfu kicks. had a mac-chicken n walked over to the TPS. the receptionist was abit confused at first coz my book had indicated appt with dr. matthew lau while their system indicated prof.john tee.. lol.. so she re-confirmed my appt was with prof tee n gave me the queue no., also reminding that i haf to pay 1st time charge for seeing prof tee.

went for my routine test first before waiting outside room 3 for prof tee. as usual, my blood pressure and urine test was ok. weight increase still low to be surprise, oni +0.50kg compared to 4wks ago lor. i tot i will put on at least 1.5-2.0kg fm all the CNY feasting n wedding dinner.. turned out i was wrong.

waited for abt 30mins before i got to see prof tee... he's not bad for the first impression. asked mi for medical history coz seemed that my file was not filled in properly when i was with dr. choey. prof tee said i had to do the test for gestational diabetes during week28 coz my mum had mild case of diabetes, but i can skip the super sweet glucose drink and just take a blood test. *phew* hope everything will be ok.

prof tee did a scan on the little one, showed mi her heart, body n buttocks. :) but he forgotten to pass me the ultrasound scans after he printed it out. must put in mind to ask fm him during next visit. the lil one is 16cm long, dunno i got heard wrongly anot. accordingly to prof tee, her size is ok for a bb at wk24. as long as the lil one is growing well, we are happy. i asked prof tee if we can have bb's weight, he oni said at wk24 shd be ard 600g. haiz, why other MTB fm the Jun'10 thread all have more or less actual weight but not mi. abit disappointed lor...

medication wise, will be stopping the use of duphaston since prof tee said it's not necessary anymore. ok, since he's the pro, we will trust him. got to be on aspirin for 2 for mths, stopping at wk32. obimin n neurogainS remains the staple medication, tink prof tee wanted to give other type, but coz i mentioned the current ones, he just give back the same.

before leaving, hubby asked prof tee how come my weight increase always so little.. already wk24 and total increase oni ard 3.0-3.5kg. prof tee replied dat the mum's weight increase is not impt, wat is most impt will be bb is growing well. i totally agreed!!

total damage for this visit is abt $160+.. not so bad la.. since we saved abt $70 fm the duphaston. today is the earliest i have ever left KKH.. sky still bright lor.. oni just past 7pm.. hope every other visits can be liddat. next appt scheduled on 31mar, 5.45pm.. will request for time off at 4.00pm.

hubby drove to toa payoh lor 5 hawker coz my BIL now operation a drinks stall there.. plus i was craving for claypot rice. seems like his biz is quite good, he was working non-stop the time we were there.. left abt 8.30pm and reached home in time for 9.00pm show.

all i wish is for our lil one to continue growing well inside my tummy.. going towards 3rd trimester soon..

after weeks of looking thru websites n books on baby names, we have finally decided on a name for the little one.

simply loved the meaning of this name "dearly held, precious". it's exactly how hubby and i feel for our lil precious girl..

her chinese name has yet to be decided... will need to find a gd one and later had it calculated by the shifu after i've popped.

i'm still not comfortable with having dr. matthew lau as my new gynea.. preferred prof tee since he's really experienced.. dun mind paying more as long as bb is ok.

emailed dr. choey abt tis and he said it's my choice if i want to see prof tee instead. he said prof tee is a beri kind gynea and wished mi all the best with the rest of my preggie journey.

i sure gonna missed him, but am also looking forward to see prof tee on 03mar10, 6pm. yes, it's the same day n time as the appt fixed with dr. matthew lau. :p

went for my detail scan earlier today.. took 1/2day as the scan was scheduled at 3.15pm.. met up with dear at 2pm and went for lunch at the kopitiam food court. i had my 2nd lunch of the day.. hahaha.. pigging out!!!

went up to the ADC at 3.10pm, was immediately ushered to the room by the sonographer. quite surprised since the last two times i had to wait quite a while for the first trimester scan.

our lil one was super cooperative!!! coz the whole scan was over within 30mins.. btw, the lil one is a princess!!! woohoo!!! *popping champagne* actually boy or gal also ok, as long as our lil one is healthy can liao. got back some scan pics of bb again... oh, we are also glad coz bb is healthy. :p

since the time was oni 3.50pm, long way fm my gynea appt with dr. choey at 6pm.. i had to spend my time nua-ing at Mac as dear had to go n fetch his bro home. cannot tahan sitting too long at Mac coz i need to go pee, so left at 5.15pm. didn't bother to go Mac again after toilet since it was already quite crowded when i left. chose to sit outside at the long benches, quite cooling there so not too bad.. chatted with mum whilst waiting for dear to come back. surprisingly, dear was back at 5.30pm. i tot he will oni be back later.

so we went to TPS since dr. choey's nurse said she will let mi be the 1st patient.. went for routine test before waiting outside dr. choey's room. urine test n blood pressure ok.. weight now is 75.80kg (ya, beri fat).. but not alot of increase comparing with the weight taken 5wks ago. i still waited for an hr before seeing dr. choey. reason being, they never input my appt as pre-fixed and i was taken as a walk-in patient!!!

dr. choey asked mi how i was, again i was obviously quite nervous again.. also, dr. choey dropped a bombshell on mi, he had resigned fm KKH and i will haf to changed my gynea fm next visit. super sad lor... i was beri happy with him as my gynea lor, nw he fly mi aeroplane 1/2 way thru... got to listen to our lil one's heartbeat... beri loud and dr. choey commented dat bb is beri active (he haven even seen the ultrasound lor). indeed the lil one was moving inside tum tum during the scan. :p confirmed a bb gal again by dr. choey.. he even showed mi bb's private part down under...

was recommended to see dr. matthew lau for next appt onwards.. sian lor... dear asked the nurse if she knew how dr. matthew lau was like n she had no idea at all. liddat how??!! might decide to change to prof tee or even back to dr. adrian woodworth or dr. adelina wong.

discussed with dear n he prefers dat we stick to KKH, so will try out dr. matthew lau first, if dun like then change to prof tee..

till the next visit on 03mar10, 6pm.. hope God continues to bless bb.

the nurse fm KKH called yesterday morning to informed that my detail scan has been schedule on 04Feb 4pm. but i must arrive earlier after 2pm coz they scared bb is not cooperative and will require more time to scan. the gynea appt will be later in the evening at TPS with Dr. Choey.

hope bb will continue to grow well (healthily) in my tum tum and can know bb's gender by then.

dear lil precious,

your stingy mummy was trying to save some $$ and looked in the SMH forum for a pre-loved bb cot for u.. found one really good condition I'm Toy bb cot which was selling at $150 (usual price ard $380-$480).

mummy made the arrangement with the buyer to view the bb cot today at 8.30pm n daddy went to woodlands to take the car (coz the location abit far off fm MRT n bus-stop). met daddy at AMK for dinner at S11 and he suddenly said he dun wan to view the bb cot anymore. seems like daddy had second tots abt his lil precious sleeping in a 2nd hand bb cot, even ask mummy why adults must buy new and good quality bed whereas lil precious has to sleep in a 2nd bb cot. mummy was tongue-tied!!! was trying to save some $$ mah, also scared lil precious dun like to sleep in bb cot. but now daddy said he dun care and will buy a new bb cot for lil precious fm his own pocket, so mummy have no say at all but to go along with the plan.

lil precious, see how much daddy loves u, mummy is getting jealous!!! :p he oni wants the best for u, so u must guai guai and grow healthily in mummy's tum tum!! we are so looking forward to your arrival in Jun.
